Java and Tomcat Senior Developer (Hybrid)

As our organization grows, we seek a highly skilled Java and Tomcat Senior Developer to join our development team. As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our web applications. You will also be responsible for providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Java and the ability to work with Tomcat. You should have experience with web development and be comfortable working in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java and Tomcat

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members

• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance as needed

• Migrate legacy Java and Tomcat to current standards

• Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Java developer

• Extensive experience with Tomcat and Linux

• Experience with web development and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Strong understanding of software development principles and design patterns

• Experience working in a collaborative team environment

• Experience with OWASP Top Ten and secure code practice

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Agile development methodologies

• Experience with database design and SQL

• Experience with API (Rest & SOAP)

• Experience with version control systems such as Git

• Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools

• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS
